SonicState - Here’s a great idea - guitar cables with magnetic ends that snap off when pulled so, if you are not using a wireless system but still insist on doing those Pete Townsend-style windmills, you won’t break your cable when you trip over it on the way to falling flat on your arse. PREMIER Guitar Magazine - With so many instrument cables on the market today, it is hard to justify another offering unless it's something special. The SnapJack, a cable that detaches in the event of excessive stress, certainly falls into that category. Read More...

Guitar Player Magazine - The seemingly less-than-exotic SnapJack cable was nonetheless one of the show-stoppers at the Summer NAMM show in Austin, Texas. In fact, it won a Best In Show Award in the “Gotta Stock It” category. Taking a cue from the Apple MacBook MagSafe power adapter, the SnapJack uses magnetism to hold the cable’s jack housing and input-jack tip together. Basically, the tip snaps right off, muting the signal from guitar to amp with no hums, pops, or other noises. Read More...

Bass Player Magazine - Each plug is a two-piece unit held together by small, powerful neodymium magnets. The idea is that the plug separates only under tension. So if you trip over the cord, the cable snaps away from the plug, effectively and quietly muting your signal, rather than noisily pulling out your cable or bringing your treasured instrument or lightweight amp crashing to the floor. The easiest way to separate the two pieces is by pulling at an angle; a straight-on tug stands up to tension better. Read More...

The Free Library - Snap Jack magnets allow for quick detachment when cable is subjected to extensive tension, reducing the risk of personal injury and damage to guitars, cables, and amplifiers. The Snap Jack is also free of obnoxious popping or screeching noises when plugging or unplugging the cable while amplifier is on. Read more...

Why Should I Get SnapJack Instrument Cables?

SnapJack guitar cables are a unique product not only for guitar players. Any musician who uses cables to plug into any amplification system will benefit from Snap Jacks' vesatility. Regardless of instrument we know through years of experience that tripping on instrument chords is the prime source for instrument and equipment damage. Snapjack's are designed to detach from your guitar, bass or amplifier when put under tension.

Many people wonder and question the ability of the cable to stay attached to your instrument/amplifier under normal conditions. This is where Snapjack cables excel and shine. Under straight back pulling the cable will stay attached (normal operating environment). When pressure is applied from an angle then the cable becomes detached saving your input jacks, amplifier jacks and other expensive equipment. once the cable has become detached you will not experience any noise, his or pop common with other less quality cables. Because the Snap Jack cable is magnetic once the bond is broken there is no signal sent to your amp. This makes noiseless instrument switching possible while on stage during live performances, at home and at practice.

Hi Mike. Ever since the day you convinced me to use these new guitar cables it has changed my life forever. These SnapJacks totally rock! Not only are they bullet proof they sound great! I looked at some of the sceptic saying 'they can fall off too easily'. Well let me tell you something...

A division of Paratroopers can't pull these cables apart. You have no idea how much time these things have saved me when rehearsing and playing gigs. Simply amazing!

Hi Dot On Shaft. Just a quick note of thanks regarding my new cables. It's been 6 months since I bought them and I haven't had to tighten, adjust or mess with any of my guitar jacks.

I'm a weekend player and gig occasionally but let me say that in the past I've had nothing but grief with guitar jacks always coming loose on me. These things are the greatest invention since someone decided to put strings on a guitar! I'm totally sold and all my buddies are requesting them. Truly a killer product!

Hey folks. You were right about these cables. I plugged them into my amp and was surprised at the signal improvement. I've since bought another to run into my pedal board to my guitar. These things are awesome. I love the freedom with these. Just snap off your guitar and voila!

Amazing product. Thanks to you guys not only has my sound improved but my constant cable woes are now non existent!
